Industrial process oven manufacturer Precision Quincy Corp., Woodstock, Ill., has formed a strategic alliance with Dallas-based burn-off oven manufacturer Pollution Control Products Co.

Atlanta-based Essex Brownell will offer the complementary lines of curing and stripping ovens to serve the motor, transformer and motor repair industries. The companies exhibited for the first time as an alliance at the 2009 EASA Convention and Exhibition (Electrical Apparatus Service Association Inc.) held June 14-16 at the America's Center in St. Louis.

According to the two companies, the alliance combines the strengths and specialties of each company's ovens into a single electric motor repair package. Pollution Control Products' stripping ovens are at the front end of the repair process, stripping and removing the defective varnish from the electric motors. Precision Quincy's ovens conclude the process by curing the replacement varnish used in the repair.
