Joint Venture for Ceramic Fiber Maker
ZTA, a joint venture between Zircar Ceramics Inc., Florida, N.Y., and TN Management, Tokyo, Japan, is expected to allow both partners to participate in certain markets for ceramic fiber products.

Zircar Joint VentureZTA, which stands Zircar TN Agreement, occupies a new 22,000 ft2 facility in the Beijing, China, area. According to David Hamling, co-owner of Zircar Ceramics, the joint venture is expected to help the companies serve the consumables for secondary aluminum and components for OEM high temperature equipment markets, among others. Zircar will market the joint venture’s vacuum-formed products under the brand name of Uniform Fiber Products.

Multiple orders totaling eight regenerative thermal oxidizer systems have been received by Pro-Environmental Inc., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. The oxidizer systems will handle distillers’ dried grains with solubles (DDGS) dryer emissions for six fuel ethanol plants in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Illinois.

Pro-Environmental is supplying regenerative thermal oxidizers designed for 99 percent destruction reduction efficiency (DRE) for VOCs and HAPs with 95 percent primary heat recovery to minimize auxiliary fuel usage. The company will design, fabricate and provide full-time installation supervision, startup and diagnostic testing of the oxidizer systems.

Oxidizers addressed emissions concerns and brought processes into regulatory compliance in silicone and pharmaceutical processing as well as in a petrochemical facility.

Check Burner Air-to-Fuel Ratios
Periodically checking and resetting the air-fuel ratios is one of the simplest ways to get maximum efficiency out of fuel-fired process heating equipment such as ovens, heaters, boilers and furnaces.

Predicting Temperature Controller Maintenance
Developments in temperature controller technology are providing process and equipment diagnostics.

The Spray Way
Spray drying is highly suited for the continuous production of dry solids in either powder, granulate or agglomerate form from liquid feedstocks as solutions, emulsions and pumpable suspensions.

Users simply aim the target and read the temperature. Three types of pinpointing are offered: twin laser pointers to define, at distance, the measurable target dimensions; a combination of twin laser and direct telescope viewing for universal applications, mainly required for targets where certain distances are longer than 0.16'; or a combination of twin laser and red point pinpointing for universal applications, mainly required for high temperature targets where laser spots are not visible.

Three-Phase
Monitoring Relays

Series DPB71 is constructed in a compact housing that snaps onto DIN rail. It can monitor for over- and under-voltage, phase sequence and phase loss situations on three-phase and three-phase-plus-neutral systems. It is provided in two ranges: 177 to 275 VAC and 323 to 550 VAC. Series DPC01 is a True RMS monitoring device for over- and under-voltage, phase sequence, phase loss and asymmetry on three-phase and three-phase-plus-neutral systems. It is capable of monitoring 50 to 60 Hz and offered in 50 to 400 Hz versions.

Extreme Temperature
Sealing Compound

A no-drip gel, Resbond 907TSG avoids the running and dripping that can occur with standard thread-lockers. It cures at room temperature to form thermally stable, electrically insulating, chemically and corrosion resistant seals. Offered in standard, high strength and gap-filling formulations, the compound holds tight at temperatures up to 2,100°F (1149°C). The gel is packaged in 4 oz applicator bottles that provide up to 2,000 applications.
