Batch Core-Forming Oven Needed for Engine Manufacture
A composites maker will use an electrically heated, batch core-forming oven for its patented process of forming honeycomb material for aircraft engines.
Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, Wis., delivered the unit, which has a maximum temperature rating of 800°F (427°C). The walls and ceiling have “CAN” style construction and includes 6” of 6-lb density insulation. Based on a nine-point profile test, the temperature uniformity of this industrial oven is ±10°F (18°C) at 550 and 685°F (288 and 363°C).
The oven was factory tested and adjusted prior to shipment, and all safety interlocks were checked for proper operation.
