Fulton Thermal Corp., Pulaski, N.Y., a manufacturer of thermal fluid heat transfer products, added a used stock heater program. The refurbished thermal fluid heaters are suited for customers in need of quick-ship order fulfillment. The used heaters offer the same capabilities as standard coil heaters from the company. They include a 90-day warranty and standard Fulton factory and engineering support.
Bruce Nelson, president of Colmac Coil, Colville, Wash., was awarded a new patent for a plate freezer innovation. Nelson's innovation uses a wicking structure and internal passageways to ensure the uniformity of the refrigerant. The design also reduces health hazards should a leak occur. A bimetallic coupling used at the connection of the conduit to the freezing plates eliminates the risk of refrigerant leaks over multiple freezing cycles. Read the patent at www.colmaccoil.com.
