Watlow, a St. Louis-based provider of thermal solutions, named Chris Eichmann vice president of sales. Eichmann will be directly responsible for increasing share in Watlow's current markets and penetrating new markets. He will work out of the St. Louis office and report directly to Peter Desloge, Watlow's CEO and chairman of the board.
Also, Watlow has named Sam Sked to co-director of North American sales. Sked will report directly to Chris Eichmann, vice president of sales. In this position, Sked will assist Tom Desloge in supporting the field sales force and being an advocate for their needs within the company. He also will have responsibility for growth in the western half of the North American market.
Finally, Watlow appointed Scott Voumard to global demand and operations planning manager, where he will be focused on developing world-class supply chain/materials management processes and ensuring that these processes are implemented and applied consistently across Watlow.
Eclipse Inc., Rockford, Ill., named Dave Fontes glass industry manager.
Syracuse, N.Y.-based Eraser Co. Inc., a manufacturer of wire, cable and tube processing equipment, has hired Joseph LaPlant as sales and marketing manager.
Fluke Electronics Corp., Everett, Wash., plans to acquire Infrared Solutions, Plymouth, Minn., a provider of portable thermography products. Fluke expects the transaction to close during the fourth quarter of 2005, following satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions.
Detroit Radiant Products Co. is celebrating its 50th year exclusively manufacturing gas-fired infrared heating products. Headquartered in Warren, Mich., Detroit Radiant Products maintains manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the world. The company's DR Series dates back to the 1950s and remains popular today. A full line of tube heaters satisfies heating requirements for industrial and other applications.
SPX Process Equipment, Delavan, Wis., has appointed Bruce Smith Eastern regional manager for the North American sanitary sales team. He will coordinate efforts with SPXPE business development managers in increasing the Waukesha Cherry-Burrell brand's product awareness.
The Hauppauge, N.Y.-based Sethco Div. of Met-Pro Corp. has named Diane M. Laverty sales and marketing manager. Sethco manufactures corrosion-resistant pumps, filter chambers and filter systems.
Cincinnati-based Marathon Sensors Inc., a member of the international Halma Group, has made three personnel appointments for its wholly owned subsidiary in China, Marathon Monitors and Control Systems Corp. (Beijing) Ltd. Yakun Liu has been appointed general manager; Yvonne Spooner has been appointed vice-chairman of the board; and Tiecheng Liu has been appointed CFO.
