Rather than replacing a boiler to meet air quality standards, some southern California users of boilers from Los Angeles-based Parker Boiler Co. have retrofitted their atmospheric boilers. The upgrade brings NOX emissions into compliance with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SQAQMD) environmental Rule 1146.2.

According to Parker, a food processing plant saved more than $40,000 by retrofitting its two Parker 48 hp boilers. For more information, contact (323) 727-9800 or visit www.parkerboiler.com.
