International Powder & Bulk Solids, a forum for manufacturing professionals in the processing, handling, testing, packaging and transportation and storage of dry particulate matter, is slated for May 7-9 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

In direct response to industry demand, the show has adopted a biennial schedule, according to its show company, Reed Exhibitions. Scheduled to take place in even-numbered years, the traditional Powder & Bulk Solids Conference and Exhibition event, with an estimated 700 exhibitors and 170,000 ft2 of displays, will focus on large displays of capital equipment, products and services. The event will showcase entire product lines, prepare industry announcements and highlight innovation. Attendees from more than 42 countries are expected.

Recognizing the unique nature of powder handling and the ongoing need for education on the subject, the exhibition company has created the Powder Technology Forum, which is slated for odd-numbered years. The new event will be conference-driven with an emphasis on new technology, advanced training and networking. A small exhibit area will accompany the forum, which will be held in Rosemont, Ill., given its proximity to the heart of the dry processing market and easy accessibility.
