The European operations of Comdel Inc. , Gloucester, Mass., moved to an 11,000 ft2 facility in Hook, Hampshire, England, to meet the increased demand for production, research and development and testing capabilities in the region.
Cooper Instrument Corp. , Middlefield, Conn., acquired Atkins Technical Inc. , Gainesville, Fla., a manufacturer of digital thermocouple thermometers. Atkins and Cooper will continue to serve their respective customers, and changes will not be made to the product lines. The two companies will continue to operate autonomously.
ITT Industries Inc. , Upper Saddle River, N.J., purchased the business and assets of Precision Stainless Inc. , Springfield, Mo., a manufacturer of process vessels for the biopharmaceutical industry.
Wolverine Proctor & Schwartz, Merrimac, Mass., a supplier of ovens, dryers and other processing equipment, and Parthenon Capital, Boston, a private equity partnership, announced a partnership. According to Wolverine Proctor & Schwartz, the partnership will allow it to resume the strong pace of innovation and provide the potential for significant growth.
Randy Carstens was promoted to manager of heat transfer products and Norm Ogden was promoted to manager of the energy saving products group at Colmac Coil Manufacturing Inc., Colville, Wash.
