Plastics USA 2001, sponsored by Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., Washington, will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from October 2 to 4 and will present technologies relevant to processors serving a number of markets. According to Jordan L. Morgenstern, SPI vice president of trade shows, "It will be possible for a processor to use Plastics USA 2001 as the opportunity to equip a complete full-service shop including not just primary machines, auxiliaries, components and tooling, but also decorating devices, machining equipment, test instruments and systems to automate the entire operation."
Many of the companies that will exhibit at Plastics USA supply products and services. The packaging market alone will offer accumulator-assisted injection molding machines for high volume container lids; blow molding equipment; blown and cast film lines for closures; and services for testing package integrity and establishing FDA compliance.
