Post-Extrusion Mixing Device

Kenics Thermogenizer ensures color and additive distribution as well as uniform temperatures over a broad range of thermoplastics. Mixing is achieved by a stationary static mixing element assembly that induces flow divisions in the melt stream. Flow splitting combined with axial rotation of the stream ensures continuous transfer of material back and forth between the wall and center of the stream.

Thermal Oxidizer

Direct-fired recuperative thermal oxidizer can be used to clean a manufacturing exhaust stream that contains organic hydrocarbon contaminants. It processes 21,000 scfm of exhaust and uses primary and secondary heat recovery subsystems to recapture a large amount of heat energy for reuse in the process. The primary recovery subsystem preheats the oxidizer's inlet airstream before it enters the combustion chamber. The secondary heat recovery subsystem mixes a controlled portion of the hot, clean, oxidized exhaust air with room air to supply energy to a process oven. The remainder of the captured heat is used to fire a waste heat boiler that produces steam.
