Turbo-Dryer fromWyssmont Co. Inc.can dry fine powder (less than 0.1 Km average particle size) to less than 0.2% moisture. The 6' dia., 12-tray unit consists of a stack of rotating circular trays in a sealed enclosure. Material is fed onto the top tray, leveled and, after one revolution, wiped onto the next lower tray, where the operation is repeated. Fans circulate heated air in the enclosure to provide the drying medium, and a small purge of dry air or nitrogen removes water vapor from the system.
