Customers in North Amer-ica can order Dow Chemical Co.'s full family of high temperature heat transfer fluids via its new online ordering tool. Both Dowtherm synthetic organic fluids and Syltherm silicone fluids can be purchased online from the Midland, MI-based manufacturer in quantities ranging from a bulk order to a few drums for system makeup.
To begin the online order request process, visitors to the site simply access the heat transfer fluids home page, where they are directed to a product selection menu. Once a pro-duct has been selected, ordering becomes a five-step process, with separate online pages devoted to product and payment, billing and shipping, delivery options, reviewing order details and agreeing to terms.
Dow's online ordering capability does not replace personal customer service and technical support. "Customers who need assistance before placing their fluid order can still call on our team of heat transfer experts for technical consultation, help with fluid selection, installation and operational support, troubleshooting and more," explained Tom Frazier, senior market manager, heat transfer fluids.
