Used to entrain and compress a low pressure fluid to an intermediate reusable pressure/temperature, thermocompressor is available in single-nozzle, multiple-nozzle and spindle-operated configurations. During operation, the mixture of motive steam and entrained fluid is recompressed through the diffuser, which converts velocity energy to pressure energy. The unit can be used throughout process industries to reclaim waste steam, reducing steam and water consumption.
