Graphite Metallizing Corp., Yonkers, N.Y., maker of Graphalloy graphite/metal alloy bearings, celebrates its 90th year in business.

Self-lubricated bearings, made from Graph-alloy material, are used in nearly every manufacturing industry. The inherent properties of the material provide performance benefits such as run-dry capabilities where lubricants fail or lubrication is difficult. The materials does not melt, cold flow, nor swell when submerged, and it provides a low coefficient of friction. It works in acids, hydrocarbons and liquid gases and is insoluble in most industrial liquids.
