Iceman SC Series utilizes a scroll compressor that uses 50 percent less moving parts than conventional reciprocating compressors, which provides quieter operation and enhanced reliability. The chiller's hot gas bypass system stops short cycling of the compressor under low load conditions. Offered in air- and water-cooled models and 2 to 15 ton cooling capacities, features of the unit include a microprocessor-based controller with adaptive tuning: compact portable cabinet; brazed plate evaporator; and insulated noncorrosive components.
