R Series use rotational compression technology and provide 30 to 195 tons of cooling. In sizes from 30 to 100 ton capacity, chillers utilize hermetically sealed scroll compressors; semi-hermetically sealed screw compressors are used in systems sized from 54 to 195 tons. Up to 100 tons, both styles of compressors are matched to brazed-plate evaporators; from 115 to 195 tons they are matched to shell-and-tube evaportators. Each scroll compressor style chiller can be configured with an integral pump tank or as a stand-alone unit.
