National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Quincy, Mass., appointed Franklin Switzer Jr., president of S-afe Inc., Muncie, Ind., to three seats on technical committees for the NFPA 85, Boilers and Combustion System Hazards Code. The committee's areas of concern include single-burner and multiburner boilers as well as the fundamentals of combustion system hazards. Switzer formerly was an alternate on the NFPA 86 Ovens and Furnaces Technical Committee and has more than 13 years of combustion experience and more than 26 years in natural gas-related businesses. S-afe Inc. is an industrial combustion consulting firm specializing in the safety of combustion equipment, codes and standards, and accident investigations.

Kromschroder Inc., Hudson, Ohio, and Fireye Inc., Derry, N.H., have finalized a sales agreement under which Fireye will market a range of products, which includes air and gas pressure switches, general-purpose gas solenoid valves, valve-proving systems and pressure regulators for gaseous fuel.
