Dupps Co., Germantown, Ohio, was appointed the exclusive North American distributor for the Stord Bartz Turbodisc dryer. Stord Bartz AS, headquartered in Bergen, Norway, manufactures cooking and drying equipment for rendering systems and other process industries. For Dupps, the Turbodisc dryer is the latest addition to its line of protein recycling equipment and services.
Turbodisc is a continuous-operation, disc-type vessel suitable for drying a range of materials. It is designed to eliminate exposed welds and staybolts to improve durability and lower maintenance costs. Turbodisc dryers can be steam-, oil- or water heated and are offered in 14 models with heating surface areas between 1,700 and 7,100 ft2.
As part of its new distributorship agreement with Stord Bartz, Dupps also was named a provider of Rotadisc cooker and dryer repair, including rotor replacement.
