A communication interface for solid-state contactors fromEurotherm Controls/ Barber-Colman Co. is able to communicate digitally with PLC- or PC-based control systems. REMIO can have up to three time-proportional output modules, each capable of controlling 16 independent zones of proportioned heating. The remote solid-state contactors can be fired in burst firing or intelligent half-cycling firing mode, which reduces thermal shock to the heating element.
