DOE's Industrial Technologies Program announced a funding opportunity for industry to conduct plant-wide assessments (PWA). Up to a maximum of $1 million total funding is available, and up to $100,000 is available per award. Proposals are due May 3.

A PWA examines energy-intensive processes in an industrial facility, determines which plant systems offer the greatest energy savings potential, and then identifies specific actions to achieve those savings.

Identification and implementation of opportunities in process and utility systems that improve energy efficiency and reduce waste in energy-intensive industries is a key goal of the Industrial Technologies Program. Through open, competitive solicitation, DOE offers opportunities for industry to participate in cost-shared efforts to identify significant energy reductions.

Complete information about the solicitation is available through the DOE e-center at e-center.doe.gov/.
