Leesburg, Va.-based Eurotherm, a manufacturer of industrial instrumentation for the process control and data acquisition products, has named Michael R. DeMeo as business development manager. DeMeo will direct the sales and marketing efforts for the glass industry and selected specific accounts in the Americas, and will work with Eurotherm's Global Initiative Teams.

St. Louis-based Watlow, a manufacturer of heaters, controllers and temperature sensors, appointed John Gross to director of operations for the company's Hannibal, Mo., facility. Gross will assume responsibility for both the tubular, process and multicell (TPM) and thick film businesses and will report directly to Tom LaMantia, Watlow's chief operating officer.

Danaher Industrial Controls Group (DICG), Gurnee, Ill., has acquired PMA (Prozeß- und Maschinen-Automation) GmbH of Kassel, Germany, from Geveke Industrial Group, headquartered in the Netherlands. PMA manufactures controllers, sensors, transmitters and software for chemical and pharmaceutical processing, plastics molding, automotive manufacturing, metals production, power generation and other automation projects. Danaher will offer the European brand of digital multifunction controllers and associated products in North America with local support. The PMA line includes panel- and DIN-rail-mounted units as well as modular designs for control of temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, fluid level and other process variables.

Marsden Inc., Pennsauken, N.J., has been contracted by Dresden Papier GmbH, Heidenau, Germany, to install a gas infrared drying system to enhance Dresden Papier's wallpaper production operations. Marsden was primarily chosen due to its system's ability to modulate in power output to accurately process the substrate. The system is to be delivered in early Spring.

In other Marsden news, the company has promoted Holger Reissmann to regional accounts manager. In this capacity, Reissmann will manage Marsden's customer base in key markets as well as develop new relationships throughout the industries the company serves. Reissmann has been with the firm for more than seven years as a sales representative.
