Zircar Ceramics Inc., Florida, N.Y., a manufacturer of high temperature thermal insulation, has named Tony Carroll to the position of business development, aluminum industry. He will be based in Zircar Ceramics' new office in Evansville, Ind.
Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) named Tim Stojka, CEO of Fast Heat Inc., Elmhurst, Ill., Chairman of NPE 2006 Executive Committee. The committee will work with the association to plan and prepare for the International Plastics Showcase, which will take place June 19-23, 2006, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Mark Los was named president of IdraPrince Inc., Holland, Mich. IdraPrince is the parent of QPC Systems, a maker of temperature control systems and chillers.
Superior Manufacturing Div., Fort Wayne, Ind., is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Started in 1964 by Charles and Gloria Sanderson, Superior serves the nonchemical water treatment industry and manufactures the Superior Water Conditioner, a patented system that controls the formation of scale deposition and corrosion.
St. Louis-based Watlow, a designer and manufacturer of heaters, controllers and temperature sensors, appointed Steve Rhoads director of operations. Rhoads will have responsibility for Watlow's swaged/nonswaged (SNS) operations in St. Louis as well as overall facilities management for SNS and the company's headquarters. In addition, Watlow named Hershey Feldstein product manager for the company's SNS product lines. PH
