The equipment and technology to lower costs, increase efficiency and improve quality are the focuses of the 51st annual Chem Show. The process equipment and technology exposition will be held November 1-3 at the Javits Convention Center in New York.

The conference program will utilize four tracks of educational sessions on new products and services in chemical process industries in the following areas:

  • Fluid Handling and Fluid Separations -- pumps, valves, distillation and other separation techniques, and operation under vacuum.

  • Bulk Solids Handing -- pneumatic conveying, solids feeders, transfer chutes, prevention of caking and attrition, and solids-flow control.

  • Sensing, Automation and Control -- novel sampling and sensing techniques, flow metering, analyzers and fluid-flow control.

  • Environmental Protection and Plant Safety -- process safety intelligence, safety instrumented systems, water reuse, NESHAPs, controlling emissions and homeland security.

  • Efficient Plant Operation -- diagnostics, troubleshooting, extending equipment operating life, efficient scaleup, pump reliability and making maintenance a profit center.

Product pavilions on the exhibitor floor will include a process control and automation center, a powder processing showcase and a maintenance showcase.

Professionals attending the trade show include those involved in fluid, powder and gas processing; process efficiency and productivity; lowering energy and operating costs; quality control; automation and integration; maintenance; regulatory, safety and environmental compliance; and staff training and technical support.
