The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Industrial Technologies has created an information inquiry clearinghouse.

To help processors gain easy access to the most current information on industrial energy efficiency, process reliability and waste reduction, the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Industrial Technologies has created an information and inquiry clearinghouse.

Staffed by engineers and other personnel trained to answer industrial processing questions, the OIT Clearinghouse provides technical assistance on topics such as motors, steam systems, compressed air, and combined heat and power systems. The information focuses on energy efficiency, process reliability and waste reduction in energy-intensive process industries, including aluminum, chemicals, forest products and petroleum.
