Ferrite Co., Hudson, N.H., purchased certain assets of Amana industrial business from Maytag Corp., Newton, Iowa. Amana's industrial business manufactures, sells and services equipment that utilizes microwave technology to industrially process food and other materials. Richard Wolfe, president and CEO of Ferrite, says the assets have been transferred from Amana's facility in Amana, Iowa, to Ferrite's expanded manufacturing sites in Hudson, N.H.

Maytag's Amana industrial microwave product line has been in the industrial microwave market both nationally and internationally for more than 30 years, a period during which it was originally owned by Raytheon, Lexington, Mass.

Ferrite has produced industrial systems and components for high power microwave applications since 1983. Factory-trained personnel have been added to Ferrite's service department.
