Jeffrey DeWitt, Maxitrol Co.

Southfield, Mich.-based Maxitrol Co., a manufacturer of gas-pressure regulators and electronic gas-modulation systems, named John Schlachter vice president, research and development and Jeffrey DeWitt director of production engineering. Schlachter will head Maxitrol's new department for research and development, focusing on product development and existing product redesign. DeWitt's responsibilities include management of production engineering, design/tooling operations and the quality assurance department.

Kengo Saiki was appointed president of RKC America, South Bend, Ind. RKC America, a subsidiary of RKC Instruments, Tokyo, is responsible for sales and distribution of RKC Instruments' temperature and process controls for North and South America. Saiki was formerly domestic sales manager in Japan within RKC Instruments before becoming president of the Americas subsidiary. Naoki Nakamura, the previous president, will return to Japan after a transitional period.

Heather Rhodes, Watlow
