Asia's No. 1 plastics and rubber exhibition, Chinaplas 2006, the 20th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries will be April 26-29 at Shanghai New International Expo Center, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China.
With the implementation of China's eleventh Five-Year Plan, the Yangtze River Delta has become the “dragon-head” in China in terms of economic development, with Shanghai being the core developed region. The Yangtze River Delta and Eastern China regions are strong in the plastics and rubber processing industries. According to statistics, four provinces (Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and Fujian) in the Top 5 list in terms of plastics production yield are from Eastern China. Staging its 20th edition in Shanghai, Chinaplas 2006 will enjoy geographical advantages.
To mark the 20th edition, Chinaplas 2006 will organize high-level industrial conferences to discuss the hot topics in the industry such as “The Development of New Plastic Materials,” “New Trends and Technologies in Plastic Building Materials,” “Plastics Technologies for Consumer Electronics, IT and Telecom Products” and “Energy-Saving and Environmentally-Friendly Technologies for Plastics Manufacturing.” Other events at the show include the presentation of top ten “Distinguished Exhibitor Award,” to exhibitors who have participated the most in Chinaplas, and the “Largest Overseas Delegation Group” will also be presented. At the show, a meaningful Chinaplas “Time Tunnel” will be set up to highlight the history of China's plastics industry and milestones of Chinaplas.
As the largest scale in history, Chinaplas 2006 will reach an exhibition area of 92,000 m2, with an estimated participation of 1,300 exhibitors and demonstration of about 1,000 sets of machines. It is anticipated that the scale of Chinaplas 2006 will exceed 2004's edition in Shanghai by an increase of 50 percent. It is Asia's No. 1 and the world's No. 3 plastics and rubber trade show. While creating splendid show record, Chinaplas also accelerated and witnessed the development of China's plastics and rubber industries.
Mr Stanley Chu, Chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, organizer of Chinaplas, expressed his confidence toward the successful organization of the 20th Chinaplas. He said, “The theme of Chinaplas 2006 is 'The 20th Chinaplas: Shaping the Future for You.' It signifies a new milestone of the event after all the challenges and difficulties it experienced in the last 23 years. Today, Chinaplas is being recognized by the industry as the No. 1 plastics and rubber trade fair in Asia. We will try our best to shape a prosperous future for our exhibitors and visitors.”
He added, “Despite a series of challenges encountered at various stages such as economic crisis in 1998, 911 terrorist attack and SARS scare in 2003, Chinaplas strived to stand against crisis and expanded consistently. To consolidate our strength and overcome challenges, we built up strategic partnerships which further increase our resources in organizing a good fair for the industry. It is always our aim to assist exhibitors to achieve a higher degree of influence in China market.”
