Cast-in heaters for plastics extrusion equipment have liquid or air-cooling options and are constructed of aluminum or bronze alloy. They utilize a tubular heating element uni-formed for even heat distribution throughout the casting. The inner diameter is precision machined for an exact fit to the exterior barrel. Termination options include stud terminals with ceramic insulators, stainless steel armor cable or explosionproof housings. Cooling tube terminations include compression fittings and cast-in threaded fittings for quick insulation.
