A metallurgically bonded alternative to solid wire, clad molybdenum wire is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 2,192°F (1,200°C), depending upon the material. With either platinum or nickel cladding, depending upon the desired surface properties, the wire is available straight, spooled and as ribbon. It is offered in sizes from 0.004 to 0.060" OD with claddings from 14 percent to 38 percent by weight. Applications include components for ovens, furnaces and sensors.
