With these metal and plastic solenoid-operated metering pumps, flow rate is dependent upon the volume displaced by the piston during each stroke and on the number of strokes per unit time. As a result, the pumps operate as positive-displacement devices, where the effects of fluid pressure, density and viscosity are minimized. Configurations include all-stainless steel and diaphragm-isolated designs, and seal materials include Viton, EPDM and Teflon. Volumes range from 0.003 cm3to 1.5 cm3per stroke and rates up to 180 cm3/minute.
