Birk Manufacturing Inc. has expanded its facility in East Lyme, Conn. A grand opening/ribbon-cutting ceremony and luncheon is planned for November. The addition will more than double the facility’s floor space. Birk also has received ISO 9001:2000 certification for design and manufacture of flexible heating elements and thermal systems.
Pennsauken, N.J.- based Marsden Inc. has promoted Holger Reissman to sales manager. Reissmann has been with the company for more than nine years, most recently as regional accounts manager. Marsden Inc. develops and manufactures gas infrared drying systems for paper, converting, paint finishing, textile, flooring and other industrial applications.
Valley Converting has awarded an order for a gas infrared coating drying system to Marsden. The system will provide the Toronto, Ohio-based company with drying capacity for an in-line coating application. The system is due to be commissioned March 2007.
