Qatargas Selects Emerson as Digital Automation Supplier

Digital automation systems for oil, gas and petrochemical facilities in Qatar will be provided to Qatargas Operating Co., Doha, Qatar, by Emerson Process Management, St. Louis.
The two companies previously collaborated to automate six multi-billion dollar facilities in Ras Laffan over the past four years. For the Qatar projects, Emerson will engineer, project manage, install, commission, and provide long-term support of the automation solutions. Emerson also will install its PlantWeb digital plant architecture with Foundation fieldbus communications, integrate third-party equipment and provide information technology services. This architecture networks the company’s DeltaV digital automation systems with intelligent field devices throughout facilities. Fisher valves and Fieldvue digital valve controllers, Rosemount temperature, pressure, flow and radar gauges and Micro Motion coriolis flowmeters are include under the agreement.
