Combustion fundamentals, equipment, applications and system design are the focuses of a seminar put on by Eclipse Inc., Rockford, Ill.
Scheduled for October 16-18, the curriculum includes a condensed basics course covering general nomenclature, basic combustion formulae and demonstrations of basic principles. The equipment portion of the training course will detail the selection and operation of all types of combustion systems, including burners, gas and air mixers, air control valves, controls and controls systems, and combustion safety systems. In addition, topics such as the formation of NOX and CO in combustion; air heating, liquid heating and furnace heating applications; and instruction and practice in determining heat requirements, pipe sizing, and equipment selection will be addressed.
The educational sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will be held at the Rockford campus of Northern Illinois University (NIU), followed by a half-day session of demonstrations and plant tour on Thursday at the Eclipse headquarters.
The seminar costs $850 and includes all training materials, lunch each day, and a group reception and dinner.
