Gennaro A. D’Alterio was named general manager of Met-Pro Corp.’s Dean Pump, Fybroc and Sethco business units. D’Alterio joined the company in March 1994 and has served as sales and marketing manager for the Dean and Fybroc product lines since April 2002. He will operate from the company’s Fybroc and Sethco manufacturing facility located in Telford, Pa. The business units manufacture horizontal, vertical and in-tank centrifugal pumps that handle high temperature, corrosive and abrasive liquids.

DWM & Associates Inc., North Brunswick, N.J., a supplier of RTD temperature sensors, named Michael Marder sales and marketing manager, responsible for sales administration as well as new customer and market development.

The headquarters of Alstom Power Inc., Air Preheater Co., in Wellsville, N.Y., is being expanded. The company plans to add 44,000 ft2 of manufacturing floor space at its Andover Road facility. The company attributes the need for expansion to increased orders for its Bartlett-Snow thermal processing systems, Raymond size-reduction and classification technologies, and Ljungstrom air heaters.

U.S. Water Services, Plymouth, Minn., celebrated the grand opening of a 31,000 ft2 warehouse expansion at its headquarters in Cambridge, Minn. This is the third expansion in 10 years, as the company continues to house its main production facility in Cambridge’s Southeast Industrial Park.

Cleveland-based ACE Equipment Co. launched a revamped web site at www.armaturecoil.com. The site illustrates the company’s industrial, curing, burn-off and rotary ovens as well as coil-winding machinery and accessories.

Edmonton, Alberta-based CCI Thermal Technologies Inc. has purchased the assets of Flo-Dri Inc., Sunset Beach, Calif. Flo-Dri manufactures filtration systems for compressed air and natural gas.

To demonstrate the company’s commitment to quality assurance for its plating and anodizing customers, every member of the engineering and sales team at Vulcanium Corp., Northbrook, Ill., has passed the Certified Electroplater-Finisher exam. Long-time salesman Sam Stella is a CEF 3, while his equally experienced cohorts Terry Ciszewski and Steve Gerzel have CEF 2 designations. Director of sales Rick Piacenza as well as inside and outside representatives Jim Sovik, Stella Reese and John Delware have passed the CEF 1 exam. Within the design and manufacturing areas, CAD engineers Bill Hoffmann and Jeff Bowkley and production manager Rich Schulz are also CEF 1 certified.

Bronx, N.Y.-based Easco Boiler Corp., manufacturers of packaged firetube boilers, UL-listed field-erected boilers and mobile boiler rooms, named Eduard J. Zimmermann national sales manager.

David Kirk has joined SPX Process Equipment, Delavan, Wis., as a business development manager for the North American sanitary sales team. His primary focus will be to increase Waukesha Cherry-Burrell brand product awareness among existing and new customers.
