By recycling hot, dry air to raise the temperature of new resin entering the drying hopper, the EnergySmart system is said to be more energy efficient than desiccant dryers when drying PET and other materials that require high-temperature drying for extended periods. The polymer drying system is intended for processors who run large quantities of materials that require high-temperature drying (above 250oF [121oC]).
