Marsden Inc., Pennsauken, N.J., has added three employees. Kenneth Putscher and Michael Gale joined the firm as project engineers. Vlad Serhiayenka joined the company as a field service engineer. The company supplies gas infrared drying systems.

Colville, Wash.-based Colmac Coil Manufacturing promoted Joe Fazzari to vice president. In addition to managing the sales and marketing departments, Fazzari handles strategic planning processes, business development and is responsible for new product selection for the company. He joined the company in 2002 as an applications sales engineer, specializing in industrial refrigeration and heat transfer coil applications.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-based CCI Thermal Technologies Inc. acquired 3L Filters Ltd., Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. 3L Filters makes filters, strainers, pressure vessels and skid systems for industrial applications.

Conair is moving its world headquarters from Emsworth, Pa., to another Pittsburgh suburb, Cranberry. The move, expected to be completed December 31, 2007, involves administrative, sales and engineering personnel. The new building also will accommodate the Conair Technical Center. Conair manufactures resin drying, blending, feeding and conveying equipment, heat-transfer systems and temperature-control equipment, and downstream extrusion systems. Conair manufacturing operations in Franklin, Pa., about 60 miles to the north, were not affected.

The Special Supplement, Part 2, of Omega Engineering Inc.’s New Horizons In Automation Featuring Rube Goldberg Cartoons catalog was released. The 80-page supplement from the Stamford, Conn.-based company contains automation products such as PLCs, pushbuttons, intelligent relays, wireless devices, stack lights and proximity sensors.

Waterloo, Iowa-based CPM Acquisition Corp. (CPM), acquired Nanjing Ruiya Polymer Processing Equipment Co. Ltd., Nanjing, China. Following the completion of the acquisition, the CPM Ruiya Extrusion Division will be aligned with CPM Century Extrusion.

Parker Hannifin Corp., Cleveland, acquired the Beaumont, Texas-based Texas Thermowell Industries business of Bravura Ltd., for an undisclosed amount.

Paper Industry Technical Association (ATIP) in France awarded its Innovation Award 2007 to Metso Paper’s iRoll product. According to the company, Metso’s Intelligent iRoll is the world’s first roll to automatically measure the online nip load profile. Another application is to measure the tension profile online without speed- or web-related restrictions.
