Thicker wall panels, high-efficiency motors, a door limit switch and other energy-saving features to help reduce operating costs are part of an energy-efficiency package that can be added to one ovenmaker’s equipment. East Troy-based Wisconsin Oven introduced its E-Pack Oven upgrade to help oven buyers easily identify and add features that improve energy efficiency.
To go with the upgrade package, Wisconsin Oven developed “E-Pack Savings Calculator” that lets customers to estimate specific cost savings. Available at www.oven-epack.com, the calculator allows users enter the energy cost, burner rating, hours of operation per week, normal operating temperature, overall wall area and the horsepower rating of the re-circulation and exhaust blowers. Based on these entries, the calculator estimates hourly and yearly operational cost savings, as well as total savings over a 15-year period.
