ChinaPlas 2008, which will be held from April 17 to 20, will host more than 1,700 international exhibitors who are expected to showcase 1,800 advanced machines and an array of chemicals and raw materials for the plastics and rubber industries.

More than 1,700 international exhibitors from more than 35 countries and regions will demonstrate 1,800 advanced machines and an array of chemicals and raw materials at ChinaPlas 2008. The 22nd International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries will be held from April 17 to 20 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, PR China.

The expo will include 10 exhibit pavilions from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, PR China and Taiwan Province. Many chemical and raw materials used in the plastics and rubber industries also will be exhibited at the show by corporations such as BASF, Bayer, Dow Chemical, DuPont, ExxonMobil Chemical, Sumitomo Chemical, SABIC and Samsung Total Petrochemicals. Equipment and machinery from companies such as ASB, Chen Hsong, Conair, Coperion, Demag, DMT, Engel, Husky, Krauss Maffei, LS Machinery, Matsui, Mold-Masters, Netstal, Piovan and Zerma will be showcased as well.

Making it easier for attendees to navigate, the show will be divided into eight themed zones, including:
  • Auxiliary and testing equipment.
  • Chemicals and raw material.
  • Dies and molding equipment.
  • Drinktec and plastics packaging.
  • Extrusion machinery.
  • Process machinery.
  • Semi-finished products.
  • Chinese export machinery and materials.
ChinaPlas 2008, promoted by Adsale Exhibition Service of Hong Kong, is open to trade visitors for a fee of $3 on April 17 and 18 and for free on April 19 and 20. Visitors who pre-register online at will receive free admission for the entire show period and a complimentary copy of the show catalog.
