Pyro-Paint 634-SIC can help reduce oxidation in graphite foam used in applications to 2,500°F (1,400°C). The silicon-carbide-filled, water-based coating is a single-part, 75 percent solids, nonvolatile material that is applied using a paintbrush, roller, dip process or spray equipment. It dries at room temperature within one hour and cures by heating to 200 and 500°F (93 and 260°C) for two hours each, respectively.
