Gas catalytic technology has been used for decades as a safe, cost effective means of heating products. Wisconsin Infrared Systems' SunCat, a gas catalytic medium-wave heater, is used to cure solvent-based, water-based and powder coatings on virtually any material.
No other gas catalytic IR heater heats faster than SunCat. This state-of-the-art heater uses the latest technology in catalyst and operates at temperatures up to 1,700°F. The heaters utilize a unique centralized blower system that feeds oxygen to the face of each heater, converting it into a thermoreactor. The blower also acts as a convective source of air to heat parts that are not in "line of sight.” In addition to high temperature operation, Wisconsin Infrared also offers a lower temperature gas catalytic heater for coatings requiring lower temperatures.
