A tuna-canning plant has ordered a mobile boiler room for its new facility in Lyons, Ga., from Fremont, Calif.-based Nationwide Boiler Inc.

The 650 hp (22,500 lb/hr) mobile room will supply temporary steam for the 200,000 ft2 Chicken of the Sea facility. The plant, which will process frozen tuna loins into canned tuna, should be fully operational by October. It is expected to create 200 local jobs.

“This new plant is a major accomplishment for Chicken of the Sea and the surrounding community,” says Michael Medina, Nationwide’s rental sales manager. “We are proud that our boiler will allow the plant to efficiently produce their tuna and quickly bring it to market.”

Nationwide provides temporary and permanent boiler systems to the food processing and other industries.
