As manufacturing struggles along with the economy in general, some prospective customers may worry about their suppliers’ longevity and ability to service their equipment in the months and years ahead.
Facing the issue head on, the president of Grieve Corp., Round Lake, Ill., a manufacturer of laboratory, clean room, bench test and heavy-duty ovens and furnaces, posted a personal message on the company’s web site, www.grievecorp.com, to assure its customers and prospects that the company will be around for the long haul.
Doug Grieve addresses the strength of his 50-year old company, saying, “We owe no man, bank or institution money. We remain profitable in difficult times.”
The message notes that the firm supplies parts and troubleshooting help for all its equipment, even those that are a half-century old. “We never discard a file,” Grieve writes. “We will be there when you need us.”
