Suited for heat shrinking, plastic tube bending, soldering, adhesive curing and solder preform applications, the bench tool incorporates quartz encapsulated heating elements that open and close to encircle work pieces. Actuated using an electrical foot switch, Glo-Ring produces radiant heat at temperatures up to 1,500°F (815°C). Quartz elements are protected by guards for safety and to prevent accidental damage. The tool is suitable for use in clean rooms and testing areas and provides an alternative to heat guns.
