Andritz Group, Graz, Austria, received two major orders: one for titanium strip manufacturing equipment in China and another for a stainless steel plant in Malaysia.

Baoji Titanium Industry Co. Ltd., China's largest titanium producer, placed a more than $50 million order for the supply of cold-rolling and strip-processing equipment, including automation. Production of the plant, which includes a continuous pickling line for hot-rolled and cold-rolled titanium strip for the automobile and aerospace industries, is scheduled to start in late 2010. In addition, the order includes a 20-high cold-rolling mill with an automatic roll-changing system and a roll-grinding machine.

Malaysia's Bahru Stainless SHN BHD, a joint venture between Spain's Acerinox S. A. and Japan's Nisshin Steel, ordered stainless steel strip-processing equipment, including acid regeneration. Production of the $107.3 million project is set for late 2010. It comprises a continuous annealing and pickling line for hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel strip, a skin-pass mill, and mixed acid-regeneration plant.

The Andritz Group supplies customized plants, systems and services for the pulp and paper, hydropower and steel industries, as well as solid/liquid separation, feed and biofuel industries.
