Mark Bergum has received certification from the U.S. Department of Energy to become Wisconsin's first certified Process Heating Qualified Specialist (PHAST) credentials.

Bergum works for GDS Associates Inc., an energy consulting and services firm with offices in Madison, Green Bay, and Nielsville. A Professional Engineer, Bergum provides energy consulting services such as analyzing existing process heat energy uses and providing recommendations for improving the efficiency of existing equipment.
