Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments Inc. and Jorin Ltd. have formed a collaborative venture to offer a service and monitoring package for oil-field-produced water treatment in the United States and Canada. The goal is to better service companies involved in produced-water treatment and disposal.
Jorin, headquartered in Whetstone, Leicestershire, United Kingdom, and Fresno, Calif.-based Turner will combine their produced-water treatment instrumentation and know-how to provide process surveys, analytical services, fluid characterization, debottlenecking and separation solutions.
“Our fluorescence oil-in-water measurement technology and water chemistry expertise, combined with Jorin’s ViPA water quality systems and water treatment knowledge, will enable customers to receive the comprehensive process information that they need, when and where it is needed,” says Gary Bartman, Turner’s president.
According to Jorin marketing director Rick Gaskin, the new service will “produce information that is accurate, usable and, most critically, available quickly to enable testing, trials and optimization to be undertaken and evaluated in real-time.”
Using Houston-based personnel and rental instrumentation packages, the services can be provided on either a day rate or contract basis and will deliver data quickly so that real savings can be achieved while rapid solutions for users are provided.
