NFPA 1600, Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs, which has been adopted by the Department of Homeland Security, is available in an interactive application for use on the iPhone. It can be downloaded from Apple's "App Store" or from an iTunes account.

NFPA 1600 protects public safety by establishing a common set of criteria that serves as a foundation for disaster management, emergency management and business continuity programs. Organizations and parties responsible for developing such programs benefit from information on emergency management, prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery and business continuity.

Through the iPhone application, NFPA 1600 is fully searchable and is equipped with active links as well as contact information for NFPA and other agencies involved with emergency management programs, risk mitigation and response. The 2007 edition of the standard includes major revisions to the listings of resources identified in the annexes. It also includes material on prevention and the latest rules for emergency management, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
