The measurement principle of the dynamic oxygen sensor is based upon the pumping of oxygen ions from the measurement medium through a heated ZrO2 layer into a small chamber. The number of oxygen ions pumped into the chamber to reach a defined Nernst voltage corresponds to the concentration of oxygen in the measurement medium. Features include a 0.5 to 100 percent O2 measurement range, single-point calibration; high temperature stability; and a high maximum operating temperature of 1,382°F (750°C).
