The Holo-Krome division of Fastenal has placed an order for an AFC-Holcroft mesh belt system, with a capacity of 2,000 lb/hr. The equipment will be used for neutral hardening and carburizing of cap screws and set screws of various sizes.

AFC-Holcroft, Wixom, Mich.-based will supply a hardening furnace equipped with a burner management system and the company's BeltMaster control system for CQI-9 compliance. The system also includes a used/rebuilt temper furnace and rebuild of existing ancillary equipment.

The mesh belt system is part of Holo-Krome’s expansion into a new 187,000 ft2manufacturing facility in Wallingford, Conn., with delivery scheduled for second quarter of 2011.
