Heat transfer company Alfa Laval, headquartered in Lund, Sweden, has
received an approximately $16.3 million order for its Packinox heat exchangers
to be used in an Indian refinery. The units will be used in a catalytic
chemical process for mixed xylene, which can be used for production of PET
bottles.
"India became our fourth largest market during the third quarter [of
2010] and I expect it to become number three in the near future," says
Lars Renström, Alfa Laval Group president and CEO.
According to Alfa Laval, more than 60 percent of all Indian refineries use
Packinox heat exchangers.
